Cupcake was born with crooked front legs, and they did not straighten out when she grew. Because of her congenital disability, the “downed calf” finds it hard to get around. Thankfully, she is now making progress towards having a more mobile future all because of Genia Kay Meyer and Bo, the dog.
Genia, from Peavine, Oklahoma, took Cupcake from her cousin, who could not provide the care that the calf needed. After taking her in, Genia created a GoFundMe page for Cupcake’s care and ensured to keep the baby animal well fed too. Bo, on the other hand, took the responsibility of looking after Cupcake. He never left her side.

According to Genia, they started to bottle-feed Cupcake when she first arrived at her home. At that moment, Bo immediately took up with the calf and started to lick up all the milk off of Cupcake’s face. Bo would not leave Cupcake alone.
Genia said that she and her husband brought Bo to the farm in the hopes that he will help them round up the cattle. Unfortunately, Bo gets sick when he goes on truck rides, which makes it hard for him to get to the cows that he needs to herd. Because of that, Bo became available to look after Cupcake all the time.
Cupcake stares him down. She was a hoot tonight.

Genia does not know exactly the reason why, but, during their first meeting, Bo just laid beside Cupcake and stayed with her. Since then, the pair have become very “loving” to each other, spending most of their days playing and cuddling. After witnessing Cupcake and Bo’s unique relationship, Genia got inspired to share their story. So, she created the duo’s Facebook page.
Now, Cupcake and Bo have over 4,000 followers who enjoy reacting, commenting, and sharing the pair’s videos and photos. Meanwhile, Genia and her husband are doing their best to help fix Cupcake’s legs. Although they were successful with the downed calves that they helped before, there is still a possibility that Cupcake would need surgery.
For now, Cupcake’s future remains unclear. But, what is clear is that she has Bo, who will make every minute of her life at the farm enjoyable.
