Before heading out on a hiking trip, Jeremy and Sarah, a couple from Kansas, brought their dog, Dexter, to a pet hotel in Lenexa, Kansas. But imagine their surprise when they got a notification from their doorbell camera showing their dog sitting near their front door. It turned out that Dexter, their dog, managed to escape the hotel and returned to their home.
Jeremy called his family while Sarah called the pet hotel to make sure their dog was safe before they could relax and continue their vacation. Fortunately, after ten minutes, someone from the pet hotel came to get Dexter. The dog-sitter loaded him into the van, and they drove off to the hotel.
When the couple returned from their trip, their dog greeted them enthusiastically. He jumped up on them, wagging his tail and licking their faces. Dogs are loyal and affectionate animals, but when left in unfamiliar places, they may become anxious and try to find their way home.
So, to keep your dog from wandering off when you leave home, you need to train it to stay in one place. You can also use treats, toys, and other things to keep them busy and not let them wander around too much. You can also install a dog door so that they can come and go whenever they want.
However, it is best if you train them to stay inside the house so that they don’t get lost or run into any danger outside your home. When you leave your dog alone at home, make sure that he has enough exercise before you leave to reduce his separation anxiety. It can also make him less anxious while you’re away during the daytime.
It is also best to avoid leaving your pet alone in the house, especially during weekends or holidays when no one else is at home. This can make him feel more anxious than if he was left alone on weekdays while everyone else was at work or school all day long.
