A Good Samaritan named Kay Buell found a dog by the side of the road. She thought the animal was already dead, but when she checked on her, she was aghast when she realized it was still alive. Quickly, she took the dog to Westlake Village Animal Hospital, where the entire vet team, including doctors, staff nurses, kennel attendants, and receptionists, looked after the pup.
Considering the dire state of the dog, the vets believed someone purposely starved her. She probably didn’t have anything to eat or drink for a couple of months. And as a result, her internal organs started to shut down.
The vets did everything they could to stabilize the dog’s condition. While they kept her under close monitoring, they took the time to notify the local rescue group called Rescue From The Hart. They knew that the organization would play a huge part in the dog’s healing process.
The rescuers did not hesitate to help. They quickly went to the clinic to meet the dog they later on named Angel. They were heartbroken when they saw her, but they assured her that they’d do everything to help her.
Angel ate very little amounts of food at first. Eating too much food too quickly could have killed her, so she had to take things slowly. But once her body began to heal, she was able to eat full meals.
All the rescuers, volunteers, and visitors lent their strength to the dog until Angel finally found her own. They stayed by her side and witnessed how hard she fought for her life. They were there the entire time and they saw every little progress and huge achievements she made such as standing and walking on her own and making new friends.
In time, the dog transformed not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. Her journey to recovery was so amazing that people couldn’t believe she was the same dog Rescue From The Hart saved from the brink of death. She became so gorgeous, energetic, and happy.
Angel needed a miracle, and when she got it, she didn’t just survive, she thrived. Despite her ordeal, she flourished and even prospered more once she found her forever family.
