A tale of perseverance and enduring love always makes our hearts melt. It becomes especially interesting when it involves a human and her furry best friend who technically doesn’t belong to her. Love is worth fighting for, and in the end, the victory is much sweeter.
Laura first noticed the worrisome condition of a dog while driving. She couldn’t help but approach the poor dog chained up on a tree in somebody’s yard. Despite her deplorable circumstances, the pooch happily welcomed Laura with kisses and constant tail wagging. It didn’t take long for Laura to fall in love with the sweet pup.
The dog was neglected by its owner. It is used to living outdoors based on her muddy fur and the makeshift bed she herself dug beside the tree. She has no food and water except for the two bowls near her that are empty.
Laura started to visit and feed the dog a couple of times every week. She felt the need to rescue the pup and even thought of stealing her if necessary. She notified animal control instead and hoped that they would free the dog soon. However, the authorities could not do anything since it seemed like the owners are still providing adequate food and offered shelter to the dog.
Though disappointed, this did not stop Laura from forming a wonderful friendship with the dog whom she later named as Takia. She continued visiting the dog and feeding her for almost a year. But when summer came, and Laura felt that Takia’s welfare is in danger, she again took the matter to the authorities.
Animal control finally saw the real condition of Takia and forced its keepers to give up ownership. As soon as the dog was up for adoption, Laura scooped Takia up and brought her home. After a year of total devotion, the two were finally together.
The news about Takia and Laura became known and reached the neighbor of the dog’s original owner. She explained that she too informed animal control about the dog’s condition and that her family was the one regularly providing food and water for the neglected dog. They were so glad to learn that Takia has finally found a good home.
Laura’s devotion to Takia indeed proves that loyal love eventually wins in the end. We are so happy to see Takia living the best doggy life ever with her faithful human best friend. Thanks, Laura, for being a wonderful example of loyalty and perseverance!
