During their journey to San Antonio, Texas, a family discovered that their dog Max had disappeared. Despite having little hope for the dog’s return, a search was conducted, and a miracle happened.
Deputy Perez of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office encountered a white stray dog in the nearby neighborhood while on patrol one day. He summoned the adorable animal and observed how friendly he was.
While observing the dog, Perez had a strong sense of familiarity. As he examined the stray more closely, he realized that it resembled a lost dog flyer posted at the station.
Perez hurriedly retrieved the dog and returned to the station. When he saw the flyer, he knew it was the same dog. He then called Max’s family at the number provided and confirmed that it was, in fact, the same dog.
After a few moments, the family arrived to meet the dog, and the two little girls began to cry. As it turned out, they were really fond of Max, and his disappearance affected them deeply.
During their reunion, Max was constantly embraced and kissed by his family. In addition, they thanked Deputy Perez for his excellent memory and perseverance in returning the dog to its owner.
Even though Max had lived on his own for months, he appeared to be in good health. No one knows how the dog managed to get out into the open, but they’re just glad he’s safe.
The sheriff’s office posted photos of the emotional reunion with a caption detailing the event. Numerous Internet users were ecstatic for the family, and tens of thousands of dog lovers helped the post go viral.
Losing your dog is one of the most heartbreaking things that can happen to you, so the sheriff’s office was happy to have been of assistance with the reunion of this lost dog and his family. Now that he is with his family, Max does not have to worry about sleeping alone or finding his next meal.
