A couple named Katharine and Cody were not ready to foster another dog. However, Katharine learned that a Pitbull named Simon was on a kill list. She told her boyfriend that they would only foster Simon to save his life.
Simon was so happy to be taken out of the shelter that he kept licking Katharine’s face while she was driving him home. She had to pull over right on the side of the road because of Simon’s enthusiastic kissing. He wanted to constantly touch a part of her during the entire trip.
As soon as they got home, Katharine introduced him to her dog, Bub. Katharine was worried because she did not know how they would react to each other. If they did not get along, it would not be possible for them to foster Simon. However, they seemed to accept each other.
Katharine knew that fostering Simon would be a big adjustment. Simon and Bub both experienced neglect and abuse in the past. Moreover, they did not have training nor socialization skills. Katharine was worried that they might have issues with sharing living space, toys, and human attention.
As it turned out, Katharine’s worries were unfounded because they got along so well as if they were long-lost friends. Even if they had very different personalities, they enjoyed each other’s company. Simon was the happy-go-lucky type, but Bub was like a brat because he sulked in a corner when he could not get what he wanted.
The couple had an active lifestyle. They liked to hike and explore the nature reserve. Simon loved exploring and he looked so happy when he was at the beach. At this time, Katharine had been posting about Simon on social media to get him adopted, but deep inside, she was hoping to keep him.
Katharine knew that Simon was so happy with them, so she suggested to Cody that they should adopt him. He had fallen in love with Simon, too, and wholeheartedly agreed that they should keep him. Simon seemed to understand that he was going to stay and showed that he was so glad.
Although Simon and Bub would have a bit of a scuffle sometimes, it was not something serious, and they did not hold grudges. They act as the best of friends 90 percent of the time, and they could not ask for a better life than what they had with Katharine and Cody.
