Dogs and cats always seem to know whenever you are down, sad or sick. No one can deny that pets are irreplaceable members of the family that bring happiness, comfort, and just a touch of silliness to our everyday lives.
You probably experienced those moments when you are feeling down or anxious, and your dog seems to be the only one to understand and provide you comfort. A dog’s snuggles and nose bumps seem to be telling you that everything will be alright and that you are not alone.
Like how dogs can make our anxiety and worries better, a veterinarian explored the possibility of sharing his dog’s empathy with fellow dogs who come to his clinic.
The vet’s office is always full of fur friends, undoubtedly. Still, this fantastic “dog assistant” at the clinic gathered incredible attention when one vet shared a photo of his dog consoling another dog on Reddit.
The dog was caught on camera, adorably comforting another worried dog hooked with IVs on the veterinary bed. The puppy on the couch is with another puppy who appears to be offering all the comfort and love he could give to console the poor dog.
“This veterinarian has a comfort dog assistant that helps sick dog patients know that everything will be alright,” the caption reads.
The amazingly pure and sweet moment also captured the hearts of many, who could relate to the anxiety of having to lie down and get an IV. Having another friend’s presence will definitely bring comfort during such times.
However, some comments are worried about the dog who may want to move and cuddle with the dog assistant but can’t. Others are just happy that the sick pup finally has someone to comfort it.
Nevertheless, we can still all see the comforts and positive energy that a simple nose bump and presence gives to a fellow fur friend, something we all need right now.
